The present invention relates to a body (1,1') for an industrial vehicle of medium or high capacity and to a method for realizing such body (1,1'). The body (1,1') comprises a seat base (5,5',55,55') and a floor (2,2') comprising a first bearing surface (11,11',111,111') and a second bearing surface (12,12',112,112') for said seat base (5,5',55,55'). Said second bearing (12,12',112,112') surface having a raised course with respect to said first bearing surface (11,11',111,111'). The seat base is realized by molding and comprises at least a first connecting edge (53,53') welded to the first bearing surface (11,11',111,111') of the floor (2,2') and at least a second connecting edge (54,54') welded to the second bearing surface (12,12',112,112') of the floor (2,2').
