Vehicle wheel

The wheel (1) has a brake stop fastened to a rim (2), and a brake disk fastened to the brake stop. Pivotably-supported plate-shaped covering elements (4) for temporary closing rim-sided through holes are provided at the rim. The covering elements are connected with the rim by a coupling element (13) i.e. coupling rod. The coupling element has integrated elasticity or supported against an elastically-deformable plastic or rubber element i.e. ring, such that force required for moving the covering elements from an opening position to a closing position is limited.
