Provided is a method of manufacturing a lithium ion storage device. A lithium ion storage device (10) has a positive electrode (18), an alloy-based negative electrode (12) and a lithium ion supply source for pre-doping lithium ions to the negative electrode (12). The method includes: a pre-doping step of pre-doping the negative electrode at a low charge rate; and a first charge step of, after the pre-doping step, performing a first charge at a charge rate that is higher than the one during the pre-doping.
