A seat cushion (1,101), in particular for an aircraft seat, the seat cushion (1,101) comprising a seat part (2,102) having a receiving surface adapted to receive a person and a reinforcing part (3,103) supporting the seat part (2,102), wherein at least the reinforcing part contains expanded polypropylene (EPP), comprising fire retardant properties. The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing such a seat cushion (1,101), a seat comprising such a seat cushion (1,101) and a vehicle comprising such a seat.
