Control device for the charging procedure of an electric vehicle

The control device (10) has a switch (22) for switching a charging cable (12) connected to a power supply (14) for supplying charging current to electric vehicle. The control device communicates with the electric vehicle via the charging cable. The maximum charging current supplied to the electric vehicle is adjustable by the control device.
