EXHAUST STRUCTURE OF ENGINE
DRIVE
June 4, 2026
An engine exhaust structure has first and second purifying devices simply and stably supported in an exhaust passage, and a plurality of independent passages. The purifying devices are disposed on an engine body exhaust side and arranged in a flow direction of exhaust gas at a height lower than exhaust port opening ends. The independent passages are fixed to an engine exhaust-side surface in communication with respective exhaust port opening ends. A first connecting passage connects the respective exhaust port opening ends to an upstream end of the first purifying device, and a second connecting passage connects a downstream end of the first purifying device to an upstream end of the second purifying device. An EGR pipe at an EGR passage connects a portion of the engine exhaust-side surface to the second connecting passage, the portion being located at a position higher than a catalyst device.
