The lifting roll unit (1) has a base body (2) and a roll (7), which is adjusted by actuating elements (6) relative to the base body in such a manner that the lifting roll unit rises in an extended position on the roll and in a retracted position on the base body. The roll is arranged at a rotary roll carrier (4). The roll carrier is moved by the actuating element along a running path of the base body. An independent claim is also included for a transportation device, which has a frame.
