ELECTROLYTE FOR LITHIUM-SULFUR BATTERY AND LITHIUM-SULFUR BATTERY INCLUDING THE SAME

An electrolyte for a lithium-sulfur battery according to aspects of the present disclosure includes an organic solvent; a lithium salt; and an additive, wherein the additive includes tantalum pentafluoride (TaF). According to certain aspects, the electrolyte can be provided as a part of a lithium-sulfur battery comprising: a positive electrode; a negative electrode; a separator between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; and the electrolyte. The electrolyte for the lithium-sulfur battery including tantalum pentafluoride can improve life characteristics of the lithium-sulfur battery.
