Lithium battery black mass is mixed with a sulfur-containing substance and an inhibitor, followed by roasting, water leaching, and filtering to obtain a first filtrate and a first filter residue; a lithium salt is prepared from the first filtrate, and other valuable metals are recovered from the first filter residue; wherein the inhibitor is at least one selected from the group consisting of magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide, calcium oxide, calcium hydroxide, aluminum oxide, and aluminum hydroxide.",
