SYSTEM AND METHOD OF WIRELESS INSTRUMENT CHARGING

A system for gas monitoring includes a cooperative monitoring group for gas monitoring, which includes a plurality of gas monitors comprising a gas sensing element, a battery, a monitor wireless charging circuit, and a wireless communication interface. The cooperative monitoring group includes a gas station including a gas monitor coupling interface and a wireless communication interface. The gas monitor coupling interface includes a wireless charging pad and a gas station wireless charging circuit. The gas station includes a charging manager configured to operate the gas station wireless charging circuit to charge the battery of an associated gas monitor in response to being positioned in proximity to the wireless charging pad. The cooperative monitoring group includes a data manager comprising a wireless communication interface and an external communication interface. The cooperative monitoring group is configured to operate as a mesh network with external communications routed through the data manager.
