An anode for a lithium secondary battery includes an anode current collector and an anode composite layer disposed on at least one surface of the anode current collector and including a graphite-based anode active material, wherein the anode composite layer includes a first anode composite layer disposed on the anode current collector and a second anode composite layer disposed on the first anode composite layer, the graphite-based anode active material includes artificial graphite and natural graphite, a weight of artificial graphite in the graphite-based anode active material included in the first anode composite layer is greater than a weight of natural graphite, and a weight of natural graphite in the graphite-based anode active material included in the second anode composite layer is greater than a weight of artificial graphite.
