The proposed method includes: receiving a message associated with a planning system of an autonomous vehicle, the message indicating an abnormality in the planning system; in response to determining that lateral offset information between a planned trajectory and a traveling trajectory of the autonomous vehicle within a predetermined duration satisfies a predetermined condition, determining that the planning system of the autonomous vehicle is associated with a first abnormality type, the lateral offset information indicating an offset direction of the traveling trajectory relative to the planned trajectory; and performing a first set of actions corresponding to the first abnormality type, the first set of actions at least comprising reducing a traveling speed of the autonomous vehicle.",
