An apparatus for applying pressure to a battery cell according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises: a pressurizing unit that applies pressure to the battery cell, and a pressure-sensitive member insertion unit that supplies a pressure-sensitive member to the pressurizing unit, wherein the pressurizing unit comprises a mounting unit that mounts the battery cell or the pressure-sensitive member, and a pressurizing jig that moves toward the mounting unit to apply pressure to the battery cell or the pressure-sensitive member, and wherein the pressure-sensitive member insertion unit comprises at least one grip part that automatically grips and moves the pressure-sensitive member.
