CONTROL ARRANGEMENT AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING A POWERTRAIN OF A VEHICLE

A control arrangement and a method for controlling a powertrain of a medium-duty or heavy-duty vehicle. The method comprises a step of, in response to one or more driver-initiated indicators, adjusting a currently predicted route for the vehicle to a new predicted route, said new predicted route being predicted in consideration of information related to the one or more driver-initiated indicators. The method further comprises a step of, determining a driving strategy for an upcoming road section of the new predicted route based on characteristics of said upcoming road section. Moreover, the method comprises a step of controlling the powertrain in accordance with said determined driving strategy.
