A fuel injector () is disclosed comprising a needle () a fuel supply port () fluidly connected to a fuel cavity () and a control valve arrangement () comprising a control valve () fluidly connected to the fuel cavity (). The control valve arrangement () comprises an armature assembly () connected to the control valve () via a valve control portion () of the armature assembly (). The control valve arrangement () comprises an armature actuator () configured to move the armature assembly () to cause a lift of the needle () from a valve seat () and a movement limiting assembly () configured to limit the movement of the valve control portion () upon activation. The movement limiting assembly () is configured to be activated by changing the polarity of the electricity supplied to the armature actuator (). The present disclosure further relates to an internal combustion engine () and a vehicle ().
