Combustor with a pre-nozzle mixing cap assembly

The present application and the resultant patent provides a pre-nozzle mixing cap assembly (100) positioned about a cap member (60) of a combustor (25) for mixing a flow of air (20) and a flow of fuel (30). The pre-nozzle mixing cap assembly (100) may include a fuel plenum (170) in communication with the flow of fuel (30) and a number of tubes (130) in communication with the flow of air (20) and extending through the fuel plenum (170). Each of the tubes (130) may include a number of fuel holes (150) therein such that the flow of fuel (30) in the fuel plenum (170) passes through the fuel holes (150) and mixes with the flow of air (20).
