The device (1) has first and second functional components arranged to be movable relative to each other. The first component is supported in horizontal oscillating manner in relation to second component in longitudinal direction (22) of the vehicle or in the width direction (23) of the vehicle. The first and second components are coupled with each other in pivoting manner by the transmission system, while a damper (13) is configured between the first transmission element (7) and one of first or second components, or between first transmission element and second transmission element (9).
