Blind spot avoidance system

The invention relates to blind spot warning and avoidance. To this end, a first vehicle (1) monitors whether it is itself in the blind spot or a second vehicle (4) or whether a second vehicle (4) is in the blind spot of the first vehicle (1). In case of a blind spot situation, the speed of the first vehicle (1) is varied, considering also further vehicles.
