Wastegate plug

A mono-block arm and plug for closing a wastegate opening includes a shaft portion and a plug portion extending from the shaft portion where the plug portion includes a feature configured to change shape responsive to application of force to close a wastegate opening to enhance sealing of the wastegate opening.
