Specifically, a steering control device according to an embodiment may include a receiver for receiving driving information around a host vehicle from a plurality of sensors, a determiner configured to determine whether to execute an overtaking operation based on the driving information and a vehicle speed of the host vehicle, and a controller configured to output a control signal for a lane change in response to determine to execute the overtaking operation.
