Driver support method in a procedure of docking a commercial vehicle with a ramp

The method involves automatically introducing a utility vehicle (1) to a level adapted to a ramp (10) during docking operation on the ramp. An absolute current position of the utility vehicle is detected through a sensor (37), whose output signal is used for automatic introduction and/or partial implementation of level adaptation. The level adaptation is automatically introduced if a spacing (17) of the current position of the reference position falls below a threshold level. Height (32) of the ramp is detected through the sensor.
