Method for manufacturing a trim panel of an automobile

The method involves realizing a core (2), and associating finishing strips (8) on a portion of periphery of the core. Upper and lower coating material layers (5, 6) are respectively glued on upper and lower faces (3, 4) of the core, where the layers are overlapped along the strip. The layers are glued against one another for forming a cover flap. The flap is cut so as to define a junction line (7) between the layers, where the strip is a thermoplastic profile arranged on the periphery of the core. An independent claim is also included for a trim panel comprising a bearing.
