Method and device for monitoring vehicle tyre data

The method involves statisticaly processing identifiers in order to determine candidate identifiers from the processed identifiers. The candidate identifiers are marked as identifiers of a wheel unit if the candidate identifiers respond to a predetermined criterion based on a reception instant of the candidate identifiers, an angular position of the wheel units and installation of a speed sensor providing the angular position to a corresponding wheel of a vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a device for determining a single identification number and positions of wheel units relative to wheels of the vehicle.
