"textContent": "Provided is a method of manufacturing a perforated pipe for a gas generator, this perforated pipe being such that even if the inside diameter is 10 mm or less, an opposing pair of holes can be formed easily and with high accuracy. Also provided is a gas generator such that the outside diameter of a tubular housing is reduced, making the entire gas generator compact and lightweight. The aforementioned method of manufacturing a perforated pipe for a gas generator comprises performing a tubular member forming process for forming a closed-end tubular member from a rod-like member by means of press-forming using a rod-like member and a mold which internally has a shape similar to the outer shape of the rod-like member; then performing a hole punching process for forming one or more opposing pairs of holes by inserting a die which has through holes into the aforementioned tubular member in place of the rod-like member, and punching out holes by means of a punching member, in line with the positions of the aforementioned through holes, in the tubular member formed in the aforementioned tubular member forming process. The distance between the holes in each of the aforementioned pairs of holes takes on an unspecified value between 3 mm and 10 mm. The aforementioned gas generator has a perforated pipe that is manufactured by the above method.",
