Exhaust gas recirculation system
DRIVE
August 1, 2012
An exhaust gas recirculation system includes an exhaust manifold, an exhaust gas recirculation passage, a catalytic converter, and a cover member. The exhaust manifold communicates with a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine and forms a part of an exhaust system. The exhaust gas recirculation passage guides exhaust gas from the exhaust system to an induction passage. The catalytic converter is provided in the exhaust gas recirculation passage, and is disposed in a position which is spaced away from the exhaust manifold and where at least part of the catalytic converter is superposed above the exhaust manifold in a vertical direction of a vehicle body. The cover member covers the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter.
