An Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) router is provided enabling an EV charge point (CP) to communicate with multiple charge point management systems (CPMSs). Separate connections are established between the CP and the router, and between the CP and each of multiple CPMSs. The router routes messages between the CP and the CPMSs based on stored routing information, which comprises information relating to point to point communication paths between the CP and each of the CPMSs. The OCPP router enables a CP to communicate with, and to be controlled by, multiple CPMSs, which may allow for expanded functionalities, increased flexibilities, and new uses.",
