Fibre dampening system, in particular for wheel suspensions in motor vehicles

The system has a spring-damping unit (15) arranged between an overload spring (16) and a wheel guiding element and comprising a damping device (20) and a positioning spring element (36). The damping device and the spring element are coupled with one another. A single or multi part spring element i.e. progression spring element (36a), is arranged at a side of the positioning spring element and connected to a component arranged opposite to the damping device. The damping unit has a ring-shaped tracking spring (44) that is connected to the component at a side of the damping device.
