An electrode assembly comprises a first electrode plate comprising a first coated region coated with a first electrode active material and a first uncoated region extending from the first coated region, and a second electrode plate comprising a second coated region coated with a second electrode active material and a second uncoated region extending from the second coated region, wherein the length of a first boundary between the first uncoated region and the first coated region is greater than the length of a second boundary between the second uncoated region and the second coated region.
