The trailer coupling comprises a coupling arm (15) for connecting a trailer and a holder (13) which is mounted at a motor vehicle, particularly a passenger vehicle. The holder is provided for holding the coupling arm, where a locking device (22) has a spring arrangement (50) in a locking position (V). The coupling arm is moved relative to the holder between a released position and a locking position. A coupling arrangement (55) is provided for coupling of a locking body (38) and an unlocking actuator (54).
