Shading device for an automobile, and corresponding vehicle

The device has an elongated casing (20) for housing a tapered rolling support i.e. rolling tube (12), with which a flexible occultation sheet (11) is integrated, where the rolling support is formed from cardboard. The occultation sheet is movable between a folded position in which the occultation sheet is partially rolled on the rolling support, and a deployed position. The casing is made of expanded thermoplastic polymer i.e. expanded polypropylene. A tapered helical spring connects an end of the rolling support to the casing.
