"textContent": "A vehicle (100) includes a power storage device (110), a motor generator (MG1, MG2), a converter (120) for stepping up an output voltage from the power storage device (110), an inverter (130) for driving the motor generator (MG1, MG2), and an ECU (300). The inverter (130) includes switching elements (Q3-Q8). The switching elements (Q3-Q8) have a characteristic that the withstand voltage of the switching elements decreases as the temperature of the inverter (130) decreases. The ECU (300) sets the stepped-up voltage, based on a temperature characteristic of the power storage device (110) and a temperature characteristic of the inverter (130), so that the stepped-up voltage is increased within a range in which the stepped-up voltage does not exceed the withstand voltage. In this way, at low temperatures, deterioration of the powder performance can be suppressed while the switching elements (Q3-Q8) are protected.",
