Chassis control for a bicycle

The controller (100) has a damper device (1) e.g. front wheel damper, comprising damper chambers (2, 3) connected by a damping valve. A sensor (5) detects data about actual condition of the controller, and an electrical control device (8) controls the device. The valve has a field generating device (11) i.e. permanent magnet, for generating and controlling field intensity in a damping channel (13) of the valve. A field-sensitive rheological medium (14) i.e. ferromagnetic particle, is provided in the channel for controlling damping characteristics of the device based on the sensor data.
