Solar module and method

The solar module has solar generator (10) that converts incident radiation into electric power, which is connected with intermediate circuit. A solar inverter (12) supplies electric power from the solar generator to a network (14) or consumer. A control unit (20) drives a variable load (18) which is connected to the solar generator. A DC/DC converter (22) is connected with the solar generator and variable load, for supplying energy to the solar inverter. An independent claim is included for method for reducing power capacity of preload of solar module.
