The transmission (1) has a drive shaft (2), an output shaft (3) and two through-drive counter shafts (4, 5), where axes of the drive, output and counter shafts are arranged parallel to each other. The shafts comprise respective sets of toothed wheels (6-13). The sets of toothed wheels are arranged in respective wheel planes. The toothed wheels and the shafts are arranged in such a manner that the sets of toothed wheels and/or the wheel planes form a closed chain. An electric machine is directly or indirectly coupled to the shafts.
