Apparatus and method for improving power efficiency

The apparatus (400) for applying a torsional electromagnetic wave to a power line (300) is electrically isolated from a power source unit providing power to a load. The apparatus can be used regardless of the power supply system such as a single-phase electric system or a tri-phase electric system, and shall reduce power consumptions of devices using an induction motor such as an air conditioner or a refrigerator.
