METHOD FOR CHARGING A TRACTION BATTERY OF A BATTERY-ELECTRICITY OPERATED VEHICLE

The method involves determining momentary energy prices in an electricity supply network (6) by a battery charging system (1). A charging process of a traction battery (3) is performed by the battery charging system depending on the momentary energy prices and/or temporal changes of the momentary energy prices in the electricity supply network. The battery charging system is provided with a charging unit (5) for charging the traction battery, and the momentary energy prices in the electricity supply network are determined by a determining unit (20). An independent claim is also included for a battery charging system comprising a charging unit.
