The sensor (10) has a vibration stimulator (14) in contact with a vibratory member (13), and a damping device (20) comprising a heat accumulator made of polymeric hollow spheres (28) filled with phase change materials that are dispersed into polymeric foam. The damping device stays in physical contact with the vibration stimulator and/or the vibratory member and with an inner wall (16) of a housing of the sensor. The damping device stays in physical contact with a circuit board for controlling the vibration stimulator.
