Bending a plate, comprises (a) inserting at least one disc (1) into a pre-bending ring exhibiting a movable bending ring holder (3), heating the disc at least to a softening temperature, pre-bending the disc up to 5-50% in the pre-bending ring of the edge-end deflection, (b) lifting and further bending the pre-bent disc from the pre-bending ring, using a suction device, over the bend obtained in the pre-bending ring, where a cover of the suction device is present, during bending of a bent contact surface of a skeleton of the suction device (5) with a minimum distance of 3-50 mm between the disc and an air baffle, which surrounds against the skeleton, (c) placing the disk in the end-bending ring at the movable bending ring holder, by means of suction device, and (d) cooling the disc in the end-bending ring. Independent claims are also included for: (1) disk or the pair of disks mentioned above, obtained by the method mentioned above; and (2) a furnace (4) for bending the disks, comprising at least (a) a preheating zone for preheating at least one disc on the pre-bending ring on the movable bending ring holder, (b) a bending area with a vertically adjustable, bent suction device comprising at least one adverse skeletal with a curved contact surface and a cover surrounding against the skeleton, with air baffle for further bending the pre-bent plate, and (c) a heating region for end bending of the disc on the end-bending ring on the movable bending ring holder, and (d) a cooling area for cooling the bent disc on the end-bending ring.",
