Molded part, preferably interior lining component comprises a core layer (10) comprising a mixture of natural and/or synthetic fibers and thermoplastic binder fibers, which are processed into a nonwoven, and a thermoplastic cover layer (12, 14), where the core layer and the cover layer are fused and the cover layer is designed such that the molded part has a view surface, which ends with the cover layer, where the visual appearance of the visible surface of the fibers of the core sheet is at least influenced. An independent claim is also included for producing a molded part comprising heating the nonwoven of the core layer in a contact heating, pre-compressing and introducing the pre-compressed nonwoven together with the cover layer into a molding tool and molded.
