In another aspect, the intermediate belt comprises metal cords having the construction a+b×d, with a being 1 to 5, b being 2 to 7, and d being 0.2 mm to 0.5 mm. In still another aspect, the intermediate belt has a rubber penetration of at least 90% along at least 90% of its axial width.",
