A loading shelf (1) for a luggage compartment (4) of a vehicle has one rear panel (25) and at least one front panel (27) coupled by means of a guide-and-slide device (28), which has two longitudinal channels (36), fixed relative to the rear panel (25), and two front slides (37) and two rear slides (38), which are carried by the front panel (27) and engage the channels (36); the rear slides (38) are coaxial along an axis (40) orthogonal to the longitudinal direction (29) in which the front panel (27) may slide; channels (36) have respective openings (48) having position, shape and size so as to let the front slides (37) coming out of the channels (36); when the front slides (37) are outside of the channels (36), the front panel (27) is rotatable about the axis (40) of the rear slides (38).
