Mechanical stop device for adjusting the vertical position of a bed in a recreational vehicle

A mechanical stop device for securing the vertical position of a bed in a recreational vehicle is advantageously used when the bed is supported by a lifting mechanism in the form of kinematic structure mainly composed of substantially rigid members for vertically translating the bed. The mechanical stop device comprises at least a sliding locking member (41) which is designed to engage vertically aligned housings of a housing member (50) integral to the chassis of the vehicle. The mechanical stop device allows to secure the bed at several vertical positions corresponding to the positions of said housings.
