Cylinder head comprises an aluminum alloy of aluminum and alloying elements, where the cylinder head is heat treated by T6 or T7, where the aluminum alloy, in addition to aluminum and unavoidable impurities comprises silicon (6-12 wt.%), iron (less than 0.5 wt.%), copper (0.0015-3 wt.%), manganese (less than 0.4 wt.%), magnesium (0.05-1 wt.%), zinc (less than 0.4 wt.%), boron (0.0005-0.025 wt.%), and titanium and zirconium (less than 0.008 wt.%), each based on the alloy, as alloying elements.
