Piste caterpillar

The snowcat (1) has two generators (10) arranged parallel to each other between a combustion engine i.e. diesel engine (8), and a power electronics (12) i.e. direct current intermediate circuit. The generators are connected with respective electromotors (13, 14) i.e. synchronous motors, through the power electronics for a rotary drive function of the snowcat. A milling shaft drive and/or a winch drive are provided as a function drives traction motor for a chain drive. A switching element i.e. relay, is provided for electrical disconnection of each generator from the power electronics.
