Method for remote actuation of a vehicle door lock

The method involves constructing a radio link (7) by a portable transponder (4) through a vehicle-side antenna (5), where the radio link transmits control of the vehicle door lock (3) of a serving data telegram (8). A control device (6) for controlling an access and one baud rate is used for a keyless access control and another baud rate for a manual access control at the transponder. A termination signal is emitted by the transponder when triggering the manual access control to the key access control during an active radio link, on which the control device provides the latter baud rate.
