An image processing unit defines a number of target points and a measurement point as a number of pixels exactly in single image of a photoelectric image. A control and computing unit assigns a distance of a reference point (NP) to the measuring point to one of the pixels, and makes distance allocation to be available for further processing. The finder and camera optics are designed as a charge coupled device array and a camera sensor i.e. complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor sensor. An independent claim is also included for a method for contactless measurement of distances on a surface or plane of a target object.",
