"textContent": "Oxygen-depolarized electrode comprises at least one carrier in the form of a planar structure, and a gas diffusion layer exhibiting a coating and a catalytically active component. The carrier is based on a material, which is at least partially removable via dissolving, decomposing, melting and/or evaporating. Independent claims are also included for: (1) an electrolysis, preferably chlor-alkali electrolysis carried out using an oxygen-depolarized electrode as a cathode and an anode in a membrane electrolyzer, comprising at least partially removing the carrier material before implementing the oxygen-depolarized electrode, and operating the oxygen-depolarized electrode as a cathode; (2) generating electricity using the oxygen-depolarized electrode as anode and a cathode in an alkaline fuel cell, comprising at least partially removing the carrier material before implementing the oxygen-depolarized electrode, and operating the oxygen-depolarized electrode as a cathode; and (3) an electrolysis device for chlor-alkali electrolysis, comprising the oxygen-depolarized electrode as oxygen consumable cathode.",
