A cable-type secondary battery includes an electrode assembly, which has a first polarity current collector having a long and thin shape, at least two first polarity electrode active material layers formed on the first polarity current collector to be spaced apart in the longitudinal direction, an electrolyte layer filled to surround at least two first polarity electrode active material layers, at least two second polarity electrode active material layers formed on the electrolyte layer to be spaced apart at positions corresponding to the first polarity electrode active material layers, and a second polarity current collector configured to surround the outer surfaces of the second polarity electrode active material layers, the electrode assembly being continuously bent into a substantially "S" shape by a space between the first polarity electrode active material layers; and a cover member configured to surround the electrode assembly which is continuously bent into a substantially "S" shape.
