AIRBAG DEVICE FOR STRADDLE TYPE VEHICLES

Disclosed is an airbag device for straddle type vehicles. An airbag device (86) is provided with: an airbag module (82) in which a holding box (121) that stores an airbag (150) functions as a case; and an airbag control unit (87) that controls said airbag module (82). The airbag module (82) is provided with the holding box (121) that is disposed immediately in front of a rider's seat (71), a lid (141) that closes the opening of the holding box (121), and a hinge (158) that functions as a rotary fulcrum for the lid (141) when the airbag (150) inflates, and that is positioned on the rear side, with respect to the vehicle, of the lid (141). A linking mechanism (151) for restricting the opening angle of the lid (141) is provided between the lid (141) and the holding box (121).
