Battery with reduced risk of fire

The battery comprises a housing (1) arranged with battery cells (2), and an active cooling unit for cooling the battery cells. The active cooling unit has a conduit system (3) for circulating the cooling liquid, and a pump (4) for directed movement of the cooling liquid in the conduit system. The conduction system is equipped with a valve for regulating and/or controllable evaporation of cooling liquid.
